Mummy's + Vic's pre-Birthday celebrations
& Bonbon Tea + Serenity Restaurant & Bistro @ Vivo.
We had an early celebration for both the M & Vic due to Vic's disgusting O's.. Lol! We had lunch @ some Tze Char place at Liang Seah Street & cheena desserts at Ji De Chi where I wasted my calories on. Eww.
Some photos of persons other than us. Lol!
Here's my Uncle Nic with his 2 sons,
Russell in blue & Ryan in red :D
Here's my young & beautiful Grandmama
with Ryan, ze naughty boy.
Oh! He's also my Mum's Godson! Ahah.
After desserts we went our separate ways, the 3 babes were off to Vivo for some shopping therapy & zomg the most amazing thing happened! We flagged a Chrysler! According to the driver, there are only 15 on this island & pick-ups start @ $5 instead of the usual $2.50/$2.80 whatever. Lol. But it was so cool! & we happened to get this famous cabby who had a built-in karaoke in his cab! & zomg the sound system is damn high class please! It was such an eye-opener for us 3! Btw, Chrysler cabs usually do bookings only. They roam the streets only if they do not have bookings for the next 2-3 hours. See how lucky we were? Maybe it was because 2 of us were birthday girls! Ahah.
Me & Vic on board the Chrysler!
Mr Tan, our cabby! & his Chrysler right there beside us.
Jealous? :D
After shopping, we went to watch Mama Mia! (which btw is an AWESOME movie! Esp if you love Abba.) and on our way to the cinema, I spotted this new eatery called Bonbon Tea which serves really good ice-cream! ZOMG! Really awesome ice-cream!
[Matcha.]
Since our movie was about to start, we had our ice-cream takeaway & decided to come back for the food later.
Bonbon Tea
Le menu.
Ze 3 babes!
[Smoked Salmon Sandwich.]
Okay. Their food menu is really limited. I initially ordered a Turkey Ham sandwich but they said they didn't have that, so I changed to the Smoked Salmon. I didn't enjoy it. But Mummy enjoyed her beef burger very much. Vic had a savoury crepe + sweet crepe which she enjoyed too.
Points to note:
1. The service here really SUCKS. The waiters/waitresses are not familiar with the menu AT ALL and they kept getting our orders wrong!
2. I noticed they serve really huge scoops of ice-cream when you're dining in & it's for the same price as takeaways (of cos if you dine in there's always the ++ la.. Haha). But I think the scoops are so huge it's worth paying the extra ++! Hahaha.
Conclusion: Just come here for the ICE-CREAM!
Serenity Restaurant & Bistro.
I took interest in this place because of their Crazy Weekend deals: 50% off all tapas + some other drinks promo. BUT! It's 11am-6pm, SO we missed it :( Anyhow, we decided to check out the place since Mum & Vic wanted booze therapy & this place is actually also s Bar with an EXTREMELY AWESOME booze selection. Like, seriously. Even I couldn't resist! Ahah.
Mum went to the toilet & genius me spotted Baileys Mint Chocolate in the menu & Mum has been craving for that (since John failed to get it for her @ DFS! Hah!). So we decided to order it secretly for her before she comes back from the toilet ;P Double shot, on the rocks baby! Haha. & we refused to let her flip the drinks menu till her drink comes.. I think we surprised her well :D
[Mango Margerita, Baileys Mint Chocolate,
Mai Tai, Rose Beer.]
Vic had the MM. I had the MT! Been wanting to try & finally got the chance :) Really liked it! The Baileys & the Beer were Mum's & she enjoyed both very much! Oh btw, they were having happy hour when we were there! So our drinks were cheap cheap! Haha. Actually the prices were not that expensive & they don't skimp on the alcohol either.. In other words, the drinks don't taste diluted at all.
I had this ice-cream dessert which was nice,
but I forgot the name! Haha.
This place is definitely a keeper
& I'm DYING to come back for the Crazy Weekend!
I think I'm going to come up with a list of places
I DIE DIE must go before school reopens!
I pray that God will grant my wishes, Amen.
