Al Dente Trattoria @ Boat Quay.
Mummy has been wanting to bring us to Al Dente @ Esplanade, but we never got to that :p So I suggested the one @ Boat Quay (near her workplace) when we met for lunch :)
It's an 'atas' restaurant & Mummy commented that I should stop suggesting expensive places :p Haha. But we were lucky! They were having this promo for lunch: 1-for-1, 3-course set-lunch for $25.90! Wow. That works out to about $15 per person after GST & service charge. Sweet!
But of course, the 'cons' is that you have to choose from a selected menu :( Didn't get to try the good stuff like the seafood pastas, with the lobsters and all :( Haha. But it's okay! Cos I really enjoyed whatever I had :D
So here's MY 3-courses:
Starters - Beef Carpaccio
Oooh~ this is heaven! I wondered why I never tried this all these years! The truffle mayonaise sauce that came with it was soooo good! & the rocket salad.. YUM!
Mains - Grilled Sausage Fettuccine
Yum yum yum! Love love love it :D
Ordered it cos it's a spicy pasta.. Haha. & the other pasta options were boringgg. Haha.
Desserts - Tiramisu
OMG. Died & went to heaven! It's so yummy I wished the portion could be bigger! :D
Mummy's 3-courses:
Starters - Grilled Portobello Mushroom
Ze mushroomz iz playingz hidez-andz-seekz. Lol!
Mains- Grilled Tenderloin
Zomgz. Super tender!
Desserts - Tiramisu
We had the same dessert. The other option was creme bulee I think.. Lol!
But Mummy loved the tiramisu too :D
Don't mind eating here again :X
But maybe we should try the one @ Esplanade.
The one @ Boat Quay has an open kitchen,
so the whole restuarant was smoky,
and you'll smell like food at the end. Haha.
